This Sunday we have our final game against Old Reigatians at Chobham RFC (Fowlers Wells, Windsor Road, Chobham GU24 8LD). Our KO time is 13.00. So we need to be there for warming up at noon.

In terms of availability we currently have 8 from the u18s but of those that I would normally expect to hear from I have yet to hear from Charlie Brown, Nick Brown, Fred Harwood, Will Martin and Jack Stace. If you are coming please let me know as I need to sort things out with the U17s also

Due to other things going on at the club this weekend, we will train in the mid afternoon starting at 3pm this Sunday.

This is the final training session before what will probably be our last ever game as colts. That will be on 22 April at Chobham. The KO time has yet to be confirmed but will be another afternoon game.

The U21s are through to the final of their cup competition and play at 11am at Old Reigatians on Easter Monday at 11am.

There is no training on Sunday (as it is Easter Sunday), does anyone fancy playing for the u21s on the Monday instead. If so please text Jim Green on 07484 251 785. You can also sign up to the Wimbledon u21s facebook group to keep up to date with what is going on so that you can continue playing next year when available.

This weekend has got a little complicated. Where we have ended up is:

1. U17s are going to have a Quins cup game (10 a side) away at Effingham and Leatherhead

2. U18s are not going to play Roslyn Park this weekend. That game will now take place on 25 March

3. U18s will have training at home. It is important that everyone turns up at we need to practice some 10s play as we are likely to have to play reduced side games later in the season

4. If you are desperate for a game, the adults strollers side is looking for players on Saturday for their game away to Reeds/Weybridge 2XV. Luke Good played for them a couple of weekends ago so I you want to know what it is like feel free to message him (lukegood10@icloud.com). Hi. Tomorrow it is training.

In other, very important matters, very quietly our local residential neighbours are mounting a strong campaign against the club to prevent the building of the proposed All-Weather 4-G Pitch that the RFU is funding.

As part of their campaign they are noting, photographing and videoing ALL "Bad" behaviour - this includes parking, littering, any anti-social behaviour etc. This is across the whole club not just M&Y.

So everyone needs to be more vigilant.

This starts with parking habits - both in terms of controlling the parking but also respect being shown by the club attendees.

Dick suggested I get in touch with you, as I am keen to reignite the U18s playing Strollers rugby.

As you probably remember from time to time your eldest son played. Post-Christmas, we've tended, over the last 4 seasons, to get a good sprinkling of 18s into the side.

This coming Saturday (17th February) we have a home fixture @2:00pm vs Old Freemans. Could I ask you to enquire if any of your squad would want to make themselves available to play this week?

The side is a good mix of youth and experience and we still have a number of U19s/U21s playing too.

As you may know, Wimbledon has been chosen by the RFU to have an Artificial Grass Pitch installed paid for by the RFU and used by us for a minimum of 12 hours per week and the local community outside that. Our application has gone through to planning stages (link to the planning documents is at the bottom of this email) and we are moving towards a delivery date of the beginning of the 2018/2019 season. We are the only club in the area through to this stage and as you can imagine, it's very exciting!

We are still trying to work out how we manage things going forward to do this I need to know your availability for both the rearranged Waterfall cup match next weekend and the Quins cup fixtures.

So please let me know which of the following weekends you are available for and then put them in the diary. I will still ask you to confirm availability in the week before the fixture but without some form of commitment for the rest of the season it is difficult to plan.

Well done today. A great win - 30 to 3.

Next week we are at home for training followed by the youth Christmas lunch. Please make every effort to attend as we need the training before the Weybridge game the following weekend.

For those in the U18s this is your last youth Christmas lunch. To mark the occaison it is a tradition for the club to present those who have been with the club for 10 season with a "ten year" club tie. Those who have not been with us for 10 years receive a normal club tie. This means that it would be good if everyone (including those who have not played this half term due to school commitments) can attend and secondly everyone should wear a shirt with a collar (white or blue).

So that we know how many to cater for, please let me know now if you will be attending the lunch.
