100 Club

We are very pleased to announce the launch of the Wimbledon RFC 100 Club.

WHY?
Three reasons, we want to:
1. Improve and extend the clubhouse to cater for the growing numbers of the club and to provide a function venue for third party use;
2. Encourage junior members to return to the club as adults and know that they are always welcome; and
3. Offer a genuine value for money membership to committed members.

Rain does NOT stop Play Today!

Today is ther End of Seasom Fun Day come what May would like to throw at us.
Grab your coat and come on down, we'll do the prizegiving inside and play games afterwards when the sun comes out.

HAPPY EASTER

Hello Everyone, I hope you're all enjoying the Easter Break and had a nice lie in this Sunday.
Easy on the chocolate though as we have some big games coming up. We are all expecting big things both from the Surrey Mini competitions and with some good league positions as the youth teams finish their fixtures.

It's been a busy few weeks at the club with a number of events and parties, not least of these being the game and party to celebrate myself & Steph surviving 50 years and an untold amount of games of rugby. A fun time was had by all but hopefully everyone has recovered now. Thanks to all those who joined in and made it such a great evening.

There is more fun to come of course as this year we have our very own May ball to look forward to. If you came 2 years ago you will know what a fantastic event this is and will no doubt already have bought your tickets. if you haven't been before your in for a treat but you better get your tickets now, as despite booking an even bigger marquee this year there will be a huge demand for this famous evening so you better get a move on.

Sunday 7th March 2010

Pitches are recovering well but 2nd Team Pitch is still out of bounds. Minis A Teams are at Guildford Festival and B teams at Mitcham
(except U12s). Please see pitch plan and note that U13b are playing bottom pitch on Drax

Sunday 28th February 2010 - All Rugby at Wimbledon Cancelled

All rugby at Wimbledon from U6 through to U18 is cancelled for this coming Sunday 28th Feb due to the poor condition of the pitches. They were poor last Sunday and we have had a lot of rain since. There is more rain expected today and over the weekend, especially on Sunday. We are lucky in that there are no home fixtures to cancel and it makes the most sense to preserve what we have got for the rest of the season. Training on these grounds, when so wet, can create a great deal of harm.
