Burns night ceilidh at the club on 25 January 2014
Our highly popular celebration of Scotland's finest takes place this month. See this post for full info... http://wmrfc.co.uk/node/987
Then there's the Quiz Night, Friday 7 February. Tickets always go quickly so get your groups together and get booked up.
The monthly Parents Night will be every second Thursday of the month in 2014, 8pm at the club.
And the Comedy Night is back and will be on Friday 28 March. Following on from the phenomenal success of the last one in November the club is organising a follow up. Same kind of raucous comedy. It sold out back then and will go even quicker this time.
Info on all from Una Deed via social@wmrfc.co.uk
ALL TRAINING AT WIMBLEDON AND ROSSLYN PARK ON SUNDAY IS CANCELLED.
Notice about parking for the rest of the season It is imperative when you are coming to the club that you please park thoughtfully (4x4s in muddy bits, everyone to park close to each other etc). When parents are helping with parking please listen to them and if you are asked to park elsewhere (because our two car parks are full) please do as you are asked. Suggested alternative parking places outside the club's grounds are detailed in the club's parking policy (see below). Recently a parent was unmentionably rude to an U7 parent helping out with parking, which simply isn't acceptable, and the club will take action against parents acting disrespectfully. Our parking policy is here and disciplinary policy is here (section 8 covers the actions of parents and visitors).
Last Saturday (11 January 2014) the U6, U7 and U8 proudly provided the guard of honour for Harlequins as they took on Clermont Auvergne at The Stoop in the Heineken Cup. Quins really looked after the boys and girls with a cracking training session before the game. Following a restorative drink and hot dog (mainly for the parents...) the kids were led out to the pitch to provide the guard of honour for the two teams and again at half time for a photo call in the shadow of the south stand.
We all got to witness Danny Care's piece of brilliance that led to Quins' try and even though the honours finally went to the French everyone had an "epic" day. Thanks to Kev Deed for organising. Check out the full match report here
The annual Burns night celebration is being held at the club on Saturday 25th January. It's a 7pm for 7.30pm start and promises to be a cracking night. There's a live band with dancing, pipers, 3 course meal, whiskey and the usual addressing, toasting and graces that you expect from a proper Burns night celebration. The attached flyer has more info. Get in touch with Una Deed, Social Secretary, at social@wmrfc.co.uk for info and tickets.

As the weather gets wetter our on-site parking options become fewer. This increases the pressure on the roads around the club as we increasingly struggle to accommodate everyone. To help you find the best places to park that respects our neighbours' privacy and access, please download the club's parking policy and take notice of where you can and, most importantly, cannot park. We take our social responsibilities very seriously. After all, respect is one of the core values of our game. Please take notice of this request - it is important. Thank you
