Calling all girls - come and try out rugby!

We have an amazing girls’ section with over 50 girls playing in our three youth teams (U13/U15/U18). As with girls’ rugby nationally, our players have grown in number and skill year on year since the section started in 2015. Keep up to date with the girls squad on their Facebook page.

We are actively recruiting girls to all our existing squads (Years 7 to 13) and would also love to hear from any Year 5s and 6s who’d like to come along.

Training is every Sunday from 11am. If you’re interested in coming along just drop us an email

If you’re a teacher we’d also love to talk to you about how we could engage with your school to grow the girls’ game there.

Keep up to date with the girls squad on their Facebook page.

We’ve represented Surrey in the RFU U15 and U18 National Girls Cups, have many players in the Surrey squads, two girls in the RFU centre of excellence stream and two girls have won rugby scholarships.

Typically younger girls play mixed rugby with the boys from U6 to U11 (although we do have U11 players in the girls’ section too). From U12 the girls and boys split, with the girls playing in two-year bands of U13 (school years 7 & 8), U15 (years 9 & 10) and U18 (years 11, 12, 13). The game progression follows a similar path to the boys’ game with full contact, an increase in numbers up to 15-a-side, full scrums and lineouts, kicking etc.

We have a growing coaching team including Marie Myles, ex-Wimbledon, Wasps and Ireland international. The girls receive coaching tailored to their age group, experience and position, including specialist backs, forwards and kicking coaching.
