Our first outing of the season, on the first team pitch, was a very pleasing affair.

Conditions were not great - a strong wind and ever-present rain made life difficult. It was very pleasing therefore that, having lost the toss, and facing the headwind we put together a very fine first half amassing 30 points. There was real cohesion between backs and forwards, and great handling and offloading. The tackling was very good, against a team that was generally bigger than us. The turnover count was overwhelmingly in our favour. A real team effort; well done one and all.

Things will get tougher, but a very good start.
