Parking Directions

Barham Road, off Copse Hill, London SW20

Wimbledon Minis RFC would like to extend a warm welcome to all visiting players coming to our Barham Road SW20 sports ground.

• Directions and Parking at WMRFC
• Where to Drop Players Off

Please read these notes before you set off: In particular, if you intend to park near the club, read the notes on parking. The club has a small car park that fills quickly. The best thing to do is to park in roads near the club and walk for a few minutes. This makes getting home at the end of the day very much quicker.

DIRECTIONS TO THE CLUB : see Directions page here
WMRFC is at the very end of Barham Road, SW20.
Simply, from the A3 take the A238 turning and head East towards Raynes Park and Wimbledon on Coombe Lane. There is a small parade of shops and a roundabout where you turn left into Copse Hill road. About 100m later, turn left again into Barham Road, at the end of which is the WMRFC club house. The club is signposted.
Coming from Wimbledon and Raynes Park, take the A238 Coombe Lane towards Kingston. At the roundabout 200m before the A3, turn right into Copse Hill and turn left into Barham Road (as above).

Where to drop players off: Drax Avenue, NOT the clubhouse.

Please note that as you get closer to the start times this route is likely to be closed off and you will have to drop off your players further away.

From Copse Hill road, turn into Barham Road and drive straight on until you see a Weeping Willow at the junction of Drax Avenue which heads up to the right. Turn right into Drax Avenue and drop the player off there, being careful not to stop on the soft grass verge. Then continue up Drax Avenue and follow the road to the right to get back to Copse Hill. Please note that Drax Avenue is a private street – you can drop off but you cannot legally park. There will be a stream of people your player can join going to the rugby field.

PARKING AT WMRFC: SEE THE MAP Here

Barham Road needs to be kept clear in case there is a need for an ambulance.
Cars parked in Barham Road that block an emergency ambulance from proceeding along that road will be removed by the Police.

The club car park can manage about 70 cars but this fills up very early. Once you are in Barham Road beyond the turning into Drax Ave, it is very difficult to turn around. Please note that Ellerton Road, Almer Road and Drax Avenue are private roads. Please do not park in any of these.

You can park in these positions:
• Copse Hill between the A238 and Barham Road (both sides, but not much above the Barham Road turning).
• Hood Road and Preston Road (and walk through the gate at the end of Preston Road onto the rugby field).
• Burdett Ave and Cottenham Park Road to the east of Copse Hill road. (This involves a five minute walk to the club but it is probably the best place of all to leave your car.)

I do hope this is helpful and contributes to you having an enjoyable day at Wimbledon Minis RFC.

Chris Bracegirdle.
Fixture Secretary – WMRFC.
