Blues Evening

Last Friday saw the WM&Y RFC social season kick off in grand style.
A absolutely fantastic blues band, The Bourbon Street Revival all but brought the house down in front of a privileged few at the club. Quite why we were not packed out was beyond anyone's ability to comprehend but those that made it there were richly rewarded for making the effort and rocked the night away.
A spot prize goes to Kelly & Desiree who not only led the dancing but didn't stop dancing all night.
Adam and Sally did us proud with the food and deserve a special mention but the star of the night has to be Noel as along with organising the event he treated us to his own interpretation of River Dance, this was truly a joy to behold. Quite what inspired him to do this during an old Stones number is beyond me though.
Of course the real star was Marcus and his band, Marcus is the lead singer and also has a son in the Under 14s, so if those of you unfortunate enough to miss Fridays show can find him on a Sunday and get news of when they are next appearing.
This wont be the last time they play at the Barham Road, watch this space for more details
