Wimbledon U17s turn out for Kyle McInerney memorial game at Old Ruts 22 March 2015

On Saturday [22 March], eight of our U17s represented the club in a Baa Baas team to play Old Ruts in a Memorial game for Kyle McInerney, writes Philip Rea. Kyle sadly passed away last May.

This was a fantastic game of rugby played in great spirit, style and at a very fast pace. It was a most fitting tribute. It finished Old Ruts 17 Baa Baas 10. Well done to all the Wimbledon lads who gave up their Saturday to participate; George Price, Leon Bird, Tom Newsome, Mo Khan, Sam McKibben, Ivan Rea, Jack Mellinger, & Eamon Broderick.

Great results from Sunday 15th March and dates for the diary

The minis had their A festival on Sunday; was a great day of rugby, well-organised by the U12s under Anthony Hulton. U7 and U9 won their own festival, too! Any more results?

Saturday 21st March
A massive day for the club with a crucial fixture for the senior 1st XV. Win against Sutton & Epsom and they may well be promoted this season to the national leagues. IF YOU CAN COME DOWN AND SUPPORT THE LADS, PLEASE DO! A big home support could well make the difference.

Sunday 29th March
Please come and support the U17s at home to Camberley 11am KO. It’s the last league game of the season and we are neck and neck on points. Whoever wins are Champions of Division 2.
