Pitch plan 3 February 2019

Everyone at home training for the first time in a while. Weather set to be cold this week so keep an eye on emails and here on the website.

U10 on Parking & U11 on cakes please. Please all remember the parking issues and follow instructions this week please & coaches get there early to avoid issues

Second hand kit sales will be open. There's about 3 items of new kit to be collected still. Anyone needing new kit, come to the clubhouse to try on kit for sizing and then order from the wmrfc.co.uk/kit or go direct to the link - https://wimbledon.akumasports.com/

On club news - fantastic win by the 1st XV last weekend moving back up to 2nd in the table. Big games to follow, and one to target against 1st place Sutton & Epsom at home on March 30th. Also on that date there is the second Presidents lunch. It would be great if the Youth and the Minis sections of the club could put together a table each for this. Please let Paul Goss know if you are keen to join a table & support the 1st XV in their quest for promotion. Email: paulg@body-logic.co.uk

Youth - Please remember there is a 2nd Home festival for the minis on the 24th March - please arrange training or matches away for that weekend!

Pitch plan Sunday 27 January 2019

Thanks to those that came down to the club on Saturday to support the first team. It was a terrific game and Wimbledon came out on top 21-19. Next home game is Sunday 16th February against Gulidford.

As for this Sunday, please park with consideration for our neighbours and respect for our volunteering parents. If you are arriving after 9.30am please do not attempt to enter Barham Road and instead park in one of the approved off-site locations. U6s on cake sales, U11s on parking.

Pitch plan 20 January 2019

A big weekend of rugby this Sunday - welcome visitors from Guildford, Farnham and Dorking. With the grass now wet parking is at a premium. If you are arriving after 9.30am please do not attempt to enter Barham Road and park in one of the approved off-site locations.

Link to our full parking policy.

A reminder to all, club members and visitors to continue to show respect to the people who volunteer to park on a Sunday morning. These individuals (many of whose young children don a high vis vest to support their parents) are volunteers and under no circumstances should be abused of mistreated in any way. Car parking is a thankless but necessary part of club life, 100% reliant on the goodwill of volunteers.

Most people have been moved around to accommodate matches. Please check, read and inform your age groups where they will be this weekend so there is not chaos to start the morning.

Personally I would recommend arriving early for parking and set up.

Pitch plan 9 December 2018 and details of next week's Christmas Party

A very busy day of rugby coming up this Sunday. Welcome visitors from Esher, London Irish, Chobham and Richmond. The BBQ will be fired up for bacon butties beforehand and burgers and 'dogs afterwards.

Wimbledon Rugby Club is located amongst a number of private roads so please do not park on any of the roads marked red on our parking policy and respect the parking marshalls and our neighbours rights to access.

Whilst we are on the topic of parking, please note that the five parking spaces outside the front door of the club on Barham Road (the door that's never open, by the club sign) are reserved for parents with kids in the Inclusive Rugby section. Please don't park there.

It's beginning to get muddy so to help us preserve the pitches for as long as possible could the U12s (on pitch 2) and Colts (on pitch 5) please use them carefully.
U9’s can have overflow into the area between P7 and Netball - great size for a game there.
U7’s can overflow into their normal area next to U6’s as and if required.

Pitch plan 25 November 2018

Seems winter is on its way so please wrap the kids up nice and warm - there are no prizes for being cold! Particularly for the younger groups, cold, miserable kids make coaches' lives much much harder.

U10s on cake sales, U9s on parking (with help from the netballers).

Final call for the city lunch next Friday - get in touch with Paul Goss if you're interested in one of the final places (over 100 are attending, promises to be a cracking day). Email: youth@wmrfc.co.uk for a ticket.
