Calling all GIRLS in school years: Give Rugby a Try !!!

WIMBLEDON GIRLS RFC

Girls in all school years are invited to join our new dedicated Girls team.

Training is held on Sunday Mornings 10am- 11:30am.

Wimbledon RFC have a strong, successful Minis section which thrives on the support of Coaches and Parents. The Minis are currently mixed, with boys and girls training together.

With the RFC’s drive to promote and strengthen Women & Girls rugby, we feel that it is only right that the girls deserve their own team.

The Girls will be coached by members of our already successful Women’s team who want nothing more to see our youngsters to become our next generation of star players.

We pride ourselves on having a friendly and welcoming club, so come down and leave the Mums and Dads relaxing with a coffee in the Club House while the girls run around in the mud! No experience necessary!

Rugby is known for being a contact sport. The girls can do as little or as much as they are comfortable with until their confidence grows, but we do a lot of Touch/ Tag Rugby. Any contact that we do will be properly coached. Safety is Key!

Please bring:

gum shield if you have one
either trainers or football boots. (boots are better if it is muddy!)
wet weather gear if it looks like rain
Address- Wimbledon RFC, Barham Road, Wimbledon, SW20 0ET.

According to the RFU, Women’s rugby is one of the fastest growing sports in the country and WRFC is investing and partnering on this rapidly growing part of the rugby community.
